At the end of the half-term holiday, we welcomed Father Lawrence, a Xavierian missionary from Sierra Leone, to make an appeal about his home country suffering from the effects of civil war.
An appeal has gone out for anyone wishing to be confirmed in 2009. Please sign the list in the narthex. Today is the day for two walks - the parish woodland walk to Cawston Woods at 3pm, and the Peace Walk, leaving Rugby library at 2.30pm. Take your pick! The parish barbecue is taking place on Friday June 13th at 7pm - but as yet we do not have a barbecue. Please call the presbytery (813263) if you can help out on this one.
The holiday club cycle finishes on Sunday June 8th. It only costs £1 a week and there are some big money prizes available - £1,000 for the first out of the hat. You've got to be in to win!
A Green audit is taking place. This is looking at all aspects of parish life and how we help the environment. A number of groups have been set up to reflect on this.
Anyone want to be a scout? Rugby's only Catholic Scout group is recruiting boys or girls for beavers, cubs and scouts. Call 07875 880275 for more information.
